Our promise is simple: every piece we sell is described honestly, with the metal and karat on every listing and plated items clearly labeled as plated, and real service is available in our store at 260 Main St, Orange, NJ. We are a family-owned jeweler, 30 years in business, and we want you to know exactly what you are buying and where to go when you need help.
Here is what that promise looks like in practice.
What information is on every product listing?
Each product listing shows:
-
The metal and karat, such as 10K or 14K yellow or white gold
-
The weight, where relevant, usually in grams
-
The width or length, where relevant, in millimeters or inches
-
The stones, where relevant, such as diamond carat weight
Gold-plated items are labeled as plated. We do not want anyone guessing whether a piece is solid gold. You can see this on any listing in our gold chains or rings collections.
Why do karat and weight matter so much?
Because they tell you what is really in the piece. Karat is the share of pure gold:
| Karat |
Pure gold |
In plain words |
| 10K |
41.7% |
Hard and durable, lighter color |
| 14K |
58.3% |
Balance of color and strength |
| 18K |
75% |
Richest color, softer metal |
Weight tells you how much metal there is. Two chains can be the same width and length, but if one is hollow and the other is solid, the weight will be very different. Showing you both numbers lets you compare fairly.
How do you describe diamonds?
Where a piece has diamonds, the listing shows the stones. If you want to understand diamonds better, the 4Cs are the standard way to talk about them:
-
Carat is the weight of the diamond, not its size on the finger.
-
Cut is how well the diamond is shaped and faceted, which affects sparkle.
-
Color describes how colorless the diamond is.
-
Clarity describes small inner and outer marks.
Ask us about any diamond piece and we will tell you what we know about it.
What does real service mean?
It means a store you can walk into and a person you can call or text. Repair, ring sizing, engraving, ear piercing and custom work are all done in our store. For details and pricing, call or text (973) 673-3800 or bring the piece in. Read more about jewelry repair and custom jewelry.
We are open seven days a week: Monday to Saturday 10 AM to 7 PM and Sunday 11 AM to 5 PM, Eastern.
What are your custom and return policies?
We put these in writing so there are no surprises:
-
Custom pieces, including nameplates, are made to order in 10 to 14 business days.
-
In-stock pieces can be returned within 30 days of delivery if they are unworn, undamaged and in the original packaging.
-
Refunds go back to your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days after we receive the return.
-
Custom and personalized pieces are final sale, but we will work with you to make sure you are happy with it.
What if I have a question you have not answered?
Ask. If a detail is not on the listing, call or text us and we will find out or tell you plainly that we do not know. Honest answers are part of the promise. To learn more about how we work, read why buy from a family jeweler and 30 years on Main Street.
